lambertsen device and UDT

Sat Sep 24, 2016 3:25 pm

Posted some information that was at least new to me in the book section of the forum. As the website also has what I would call rare photos of the Lamberten device I thought I would add a link in this section where you can download some large photos of the device. I would start with the first 4 photos. These are followed by details and schematics. I believe these photos are from the personal papers of Dr Lambertsen that were donated by the family after his death so they can be seen by all.

Anyone interested in 1940's underwater demolition should take a look at "Lambertsen and O2: beginnings of operational physiology".
“A skin diver is a fellow who pulls on a pair of fancy swimming trunks, some rubber fins, a diving mask and canvas gloves, then fills his lungs with air and noses down into the ocean looking for two fisted trouble.”
